Good day everyone and welcome to another episode and another week of Expression Through Style. If you are new welcome, my name is Christianah I run this blog as an avenue to help you express yourself through your style.
I do this by giving you styling tips, outfit ideas and latest trends. I also use the medium (hence the name Style Medium) of fashion and style to tell stories and inspire you to be the best you!
So last week on the blog I was getting all excited 'cause the weather was still lush, beautiful and sunny, but then just like that with a click of a finger summer has turned to ash (big up my Marvel fans who get this reference 🤙🏾) and we are welcomed with the British rain that I still haven't gotten accustomed to.
However amidst all the rain I am going to soak up every last bit of sun with this week's look. Cycling shorts was one of summer's biggest trends and with this look I show you how you can dress it up for a cute going out outfit.
As the seasons in fashion can change in a flash where one minute high street stores are stocking bikinis and sun glasses, the next its jumpers and coats. So it can be with life, seasons change. However the question you have to ask yourself is, do you change with the seasons or do you let the seasons change you?
Whats the difference you ask? Well changing with the seasons its an active decision where you adjust to a new environment. Whereas letting the seasons change you is passive, its trudging through without utilising the season you are in.
So as we transition into a new season both in fashion and in life generally, where mornings are dark and evenings evening darker, where its cold and grey and frankly depressing are you going to change with the season or are you going to let the season change you?
That is all for this week's blog, I want to hear your thoughts on seasons changing and how you are going to utilise your season. Hit me up in them comments and or follow me on my various social media pages, the link is below and above this page.
Also I want to hear your thoughts on this look, would you try it? are you or were you into the whole cycling shorts look this summer? And if you recreate this look, tag me or hashtag #stylemediumtips.
Till next time
