Hi everyone and welcome back again to my blog, hope your week has been great. So this week I am continuing with the Mantra series where I share with you a few quotes and saying that keep me going and inspire me. Today it's about dealing with when you know people see the things you do and see your content but just fail to acknowledge it at least publicly.
What I have found in my short blogging journey so far is that there are three or so groups of "supporters" :
Number 1 are your Day 1's: These are people who kinda have to support you so you know your family, really close friends, spouses, those who you know will comment, like or share even if they don't like the content or just like for the sake of it but because it's you, they love you so they will support. ( A big shout out to this group of people because on my most rubbish days or not so good content you hold it down).
Number 2 are the ones you have gained because of your content and your consistency and they genuinely like your stuff aka your followers who then become loyal and consistent followers. (Which is to be honest the whole aim, to gain consistent and loyal followers).
And then you have those who watch from afar, they know the very moment you bring out new content but do not like, comment, share or nothing but might occasionally drop you a DM like "keep up the good work" I call these the pree-ers their main objective is just to pree!!
In my head I'm like oh okay well if you like the content don't just tell me hit that like or comment or share button. This last group of people are the ones "who pretend to not even see you".
(Unfortunately for me what I do and to some extent the success of what I do depends on how it is received by my intended audience and the rest of the world at large, so how many likes, shares and comments it is just the way it is.) HOWEVER do not get this twisted I do not do what I do to seek approval or get validation life is way to short for that. If no one supports this, or engages with my content, because I honestly like what I do IMMA STILL DO ME! I will address this topic in the next blogpost: How to be successful in the sphere of people's opinions without relying or needing their validation.
As creepy as this may sound someone is always watching, someone is either watching out for your success or watching out for your downfall as cynical as that might be. So to those who pretend not to see you, give them a show anyway DO YOU BOO!
