So I got my MSc degree (because apparently one degree is not enough for Nigerian parents) last weekend in Finance and International Development ( please ya girl is looking for a J O B in this field anyone with connections please holla). This is the look I wore for my Grad. I got the material from my mum it was bought in Nigeria a friend of hers' gave it to her, so I took it to my tailor/seamstress here in Nottingham showed her a few pictures and it turned out so beautiful and I was super super pleased she did me very well and even cheaper than buying the ready made ones you find online. I finally got my custom made female agbada I have been crying about.
The Agbada (Yoruba word) or sometimes referred to as a Dashiki is a trend that is on the rise at the moment within African Fashion. Modified from the old female agbadas our mothers and grandmothers used to wear which was just a long over-sized dress and has now being coupled with the male agbada. This was one trend I had to jump on.
See you on the next page.. Till next time
